Avocado Shake

Avocado Shake Recipe by Momma Cuisine

I know what you're thinking - avocado and shake are two words that shouldn't go together. But, you are wrong! In other parts of the world, an avocado is treated more like fruit (because it is) and less in savory dishes like guacamole. As a kid and even now as an adult, one of my favorite treats from the Philippines is creamy, super-duper cold avocado shake. This is a drink recipe and dessert recipe that you may find as surprisingly delicious.
  • 2 cups of Ripe Avocados
  • 2 cups of Ice
  • 1/4 cup of Granulated Sugar
  • 4-5 cups of 2% Milk (or substitute Almond or Soy Milk)

Blend all the ingredients together in a blender until smooth.

Taste for sweetness. You may have to add a little more sugar, depending on how ripe your avocados are. Use less than 1/4 cup if you feel that your avocados may be fully ripened or you want less sugar in your shake.
